The three storylines are different enough to beg additional replays, as is the promise of knowing everyone has unseen potential to become the units you want them to be. Fire Emblem Three Houses is pretty close toThis is going to be a personal-opinion review where I will not try too hard to be objective. Fire Emblem Three Houses is pretty close to being the best game of all time, only rivaled by The Witcher 3 and Elden Ring Let's start with the negative stuff. What I disliked * Locked on Nintendo Switch and not easily available on PC * Lackluster graphics; this is directly connected to the first point... The graphics could be better on platforms that are not as technically-challenged as Nintendo Switch * Paid DLCs Now here are the things that I liked * A perfect length of 40 hours - not long enough to get bored * Tactical battles with many unique situations and challenges * No endless RPG grind, no RPG level-up BS on normal difficulty, the number of battles you can fight is strictly limited, so the player starts each story-mission with what they've got and you cannot go back into an "open world" to level up a few more times. This is great for game balance; you will rarely feel overpowered * Awesome voiced dialogues that are neither too short nor too long. It is up to you whether you want to say something that people want to hear in response, or just have fun * The voice lines in combat are great too attack, defense, concern, cheer up - they're all nicely done, and without those voice lines, the battles would not feel as immersive * Decent lore and story, which is way more than most games released since 2017 can offer * You can play favorites with the students. Of course, you will help everyone in the end, because the success of the mission depends on each one's ability, but you will just put that extra bit of care into teaching and equipping the few select students that you like the most. And before you judge me, remember that this is just human nature, and it always happens in real life whether we want it or not. We can completely eliminate favoritism only when we remove human supervisors from the equation entirely. * Flashy combat animations, detailed equipment and armors. Almost each piece of equipment has its own unique model * A cool protagonist. I usually pick female player character when I play games, but for my Fire Emblem 3-Houses walkthrough I picked a dude; and, surprisingly, I did not regret it! The dude is the very definition of "cool". This is again a stark contrast with the majority of modern games... Although the player character is silent and makes only few decisions that influence the story, it did not stop me from feeling impressed. The game makes you feel that you are the person who can get everyone alive through every battle, no matter the circumstances * The combat moves of the protagonist are satisfying to watch every single time, and protag's clothes & armors are nicely designed; this is equally true for both male and female versions. * A great selection of wives. In this regard, Fire Emblem 3 Houses is better than most "erotic" games could ever hope to be; because Fire Emblem presents you people with actual stories, personalities; it gives you the sense of bonding with someone who have been through a lot with you. You can go into battle with your "loved one" and observe the real consequences of your care oh, you forgot to pack a healing potion for your wife? Well, tough luck! Now she's surrounded by bandits with no hope of escaping. Same goes for shields, swords and stuff. You better not misjudge what sort of weapon will be adequate for the next mission. The danger of failure makes you worried; however, seeing your "loved one" do well fills you with joy. When you see your wife dispatch bandits and crazed wolves with ease, or maybe save some of your students from an otherwise-hopeless situation, it is a very special feeling * A satisfying ending that does not feel rushed; which is something that many story-driven games struggle get right Overall a great game that prolly deserves it's score of on MetaCritic at the time when I wrote this review; I hope that Nintendo will cOnSiDeR creating a new Fire Emblem game after they release the upcoming Xenoblade 3.… Expand Amazing game, feels like a PS2 game where you're having so much fun you actually enjoy doing side content and seeing the characters game, feels like a PS2 game where you're having so much fun you actually enjoy doing side content and seeing the characters grow. Fire Emblem has always been a series about fun strategic combat with a varied cast of personalities at your command. If it had some weak points, it would be that the main plot would often feel contrived and bland, but this game doubles down on its strengths while lessening the impact of its weaknesses. Combat is now more varied than ever, with a stronger emphasis on customizable progression. As a professor, you have the ability to greatly influence the rate your characters learn skills and improve in specific areas. You can also choose battalions for your characters, a new addition to this entry, that adds more skills to use in combat. No other srpg just flows better and feels as fun to play. It's very enjoyable and engaging throughout the full 40+ hour campaign. Or I should say campaigns, since this game is highly re-playable with its branching stories. Also, the colorful cast of characters have somehow become even more colorful than before. Characters are now fully voiced and interact a lot with each others through conversations. It is a lot of fun to learn the history and personalities of each and every character through these, and some are quite surprisingly interesting the more you find out about them. Unfortunately, its weaknesses are still present, even if they're less glaring than before. The overall plot will still feel convoluted or just silly sometimes, when the game is begging to be taken seriously. But again, because the other areas of this game are just so enjoyable it does not lessen my enjoyment of this game in the slightest. If you have liked any of the past entries of this series, you will enjoy this game greatly as it adds to their strengths. Highly recommended to any fans of the tactical rpg genre as well.… Expand All I can say is that Fire Emblem Three Houses nailed it in every aspect of the game, from the character design, unique classes, characterAll I can say is that Fire Emblem Three Houses nailed it in every aspect of the game, from the character design, unique classes, character progression and the story. For anyone who's not familiar about the Fire Emblem series and want to get into the game, this is a really good game to jump into, It have a beginner friendly mode where you can choose to prevent permanent death and it does not require you to play the previous installment to know the story since Three Houses is pretty much a stand alone game without any reference from the pass Fire Emblem games. With the addition of the monastery in the latest installment of Fire Emblem, it give players the freedom to interact with your favorite characters, doing side quest and leveling up your stats. The monastery could feel a little overwhelming at first, but it won't be long before the players get used to it. Unlike the previous Fire Emblem games, you are given much more freedom in term of selecting what classes you want to assign your units and there isn't to much of a restriction which I for once welcome the change. In Three Houses they have add in many more addition to the gameplay, one of the example is the addition of "Adjutant" which is a new gameplay mechanics that was not in the previous Fire Emblem series which you are allowed to assign this adjutant to accompany your units into battles. As for the story in the games goes, without spoiling anything it is as good as it can get which is what you would normally expect from a Fire Emblem game. There's a lot of replay value for the game as well since there's a total of three houses to pick from and with each of their own unique stories and endings.

A guide for the Elegant Tea Set and Tea Time components in one of the best games of the year so far, Fire Emblem Three Houses. Fire Emblem Three Houses is one of – if not the – best games of the year so far sorry if my fanboy is showing. It has over 200-hours worth of gameplay if you choose to master the profession of teacher for all three houses, and it features attributes that should soften the Nintendo fanbase’s blow for Atlus not giving them Persona 5. All of the game’s characters are people you’d like to know rather than avoid, and this can be achieved through the Tea Time get-togethers you can participate in after unlocking the Elegant Tea Set. Below you’ll find a straightforward guide for how to unlock the Elegant Tea Set and take advantage of the Tea Time social interactions. SEE ALSO Fire Emblem Three Houses guide Normal or Hard, Casual or Classic? How to unlock the Elegant Tea Set Much like Persona 5, one of the best aspects of Fire Emblem Three Houses is its dating sim mechanics. Rather than copying your real-life stalking methods that – unsurprisingly – always fail to land you a boyfriend or girlfriend, acquiring a romantic partner in Fire Emblem Three Houses is much easier provided you know what you’re doing. You can enter a romantic relationship with characters through story choices, returning lost items, and giving gifts and flowers, but you can also build a romance through participating in what we Brits do everyday according to stereotypical viewpoints from outsiders drink tea. Aside from the Tea Time interactions being a great way to blossom a romance, they are also helpful in boosting support ranks for combat. Not only that, but a day of drinking tea and eating crumpets can also giver you better odds at recruiting characters who are not a part of your army. Rumbleverse Season 1 Release Time, Maintenance & Battle Pass PriceNew PUBG Xbox & PS4 Update With Server Maintenance TimesIn order to reap the benefits that come with drinking tea and being an overt flirt, you’ll first need the Elegant Tea Set. This means you’ll have to wait until the second month of Three Houses narrative. Once this has happened, you can then find Ferdinand in the stables area of the monastery. Ferdinand will tell you he’s looking for a tea fanatic, and he will then give you an Elegant Tea Set to gift to Lorenz. You’ll unlock Tea Time after delivering the Elegant Tea Set to Lorenz. SEE ALSO Fire Emblem Three Houses guide Ghost, Demon, Mortal – which should you choose? What is Tea Time? Once you’ve handed the Elegant Tea Set over to Lorenz, you’ll be able to invite characters to drink tea and eat sandwiches. This results in a one-on-one date where you either have a scintillating conversation or an awkward and dull affair where the weather suddenly becomes topical. As for how this play out, it’s very much like real-life You’ll first pick a tea to brew hoping it’s your acquaintance’s favourite beverage. Then you’ll pick three topics for your partner to react to and engage with. Provided your partner has a pleasant experience and isn’t seeking a way to leave the date without seeming rude, you’ll then be given an optional fourth response. This chitter chatter will result in +1 CHA being rewarded to both characters. In addition to all of the above, attaining a Nice or Perfect Tea Time will culminate in the motivation level of your selected guest being increased. And that’s all you need to know. It’s one of the most relaxing and joyful features in Fire Emblem Three Houses, and I’d highly recommend not seeking the 100% flawless responses as it’ll remove a lot of the fun that comes with a hopeless other news, When Does Season 27 Of Diablo 3 Start?

Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes, a musou-style spin-off of the 2019 strategy game Fire Emblem Three Houses, will likely have a large roster of playable characters. The original Three Houses featured its titular houses of eight students each, as well as a mix of teachers, mercenaries, and members of the Church of Seiros. While Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes has not confirmed all previous characters to be returning, early trailers have shown Monica, who has a rather complicated history in the original game. Monica was revealed to be playable in the April 12, 2022 trailer focusing on new protagonist Shez, which reveals former protagonist Byleth will take a more antagonistic role in Three Hopes. While fans were not surprised to see a new protagonist after Shez was teased in earlier marketing, Monica's appearance on the battlefield alongside Edelgard von Hresvelg and the other members of the Black Eagles is interesting to see. Kronya A Villain In Disguise Monica's appearance as a playable character in Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes is an indication there may be major story changes. In Three Houses, Monica von Ochs was a member of a minor noble house from the Adrestian Empire and a former student of Garreg Mach Monastery who had gone missing about a year before the events of the game. Monica was seemingly rescued by Byleth and their students during one of the game's early missions, and rejoined the Officers Academy as a non-playable character. However, it was later revealed that the real Monica was dead, and this doppelganger was actually Kronya, a member of the villainous organization "Those Who Slither in the Dark." Using her Monica disguise, Kronya was able to successfully assassinate Byleth's father Jeralt. However, she was later defeated by a furious Byleth and executed by a leader of "Those Who Slither in the Dark." In a later side mission, added as part of Three Houses' downloadable content, Byleth is tasked with informing Monica's father, Baron von Ochs, of his daughter's fate. The Real Monica It is currently unclear whether the playable Monica in Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes is real or Kronya in disguise. However, a current fan theory is that this is Monica rather than Kronya given her a different hairstyle and dress, as well as Monica lacking the villainous infiltrator's signature smirk. Most notably, Monica is a mage who is seen wielding a wind tome, while Kronya is an Assassin who fights with her personal sword, Athame. Another indication that this may be Monica is the changes Three Hopes has made to the story regarding Byleth. Byleth and their father Jeralt appear to not join the Garreg Mach Monastery faculty, with Byleth remaining a mercenary known as "the Ashen Demon." Because her original target, Jeralt, is no longer present at Garreg Mach, it is possible that Kronya sees no need to infiltrate the monastery in her Monica disguise. However, neither trailer for Three Hopes has hinted how the original Monica may have been able to avoid being captured and eliminated like in Three Houses. Monica Could Bring a New Crest to Three Hopes Another notable feature about the playable Monica von Ochs that indicates she isn't Kronya is that she is implied to possess the Crest of Macuil. In Fire Emblem Three Houses, Macuil - also known as the "Wind Caller" - is one of the Four Saints of the Church of Seiros alongside Saint Cichol, Saint Cethleann, and Saint Indech. Macuil can be fought as an optional boss if the player chooses to lead the Golden Deer house; defeating him earns the player a sword that synchronizes with house leader Claude's Crest of Riegan. In-game lore in Fire Emblem Three Houses notes that Macuil was unfriendly toward humans, and less willing than the other Saints to share his blood and Crest. If Monica bears this Crest, she will be the first playable character to do so, although players could purchase and equip them in Three Houses' New Game+ using items called Dragon Signs. Monica is shown wielding a unique Tome called Wind Caller's Genesis, implying a connection to Macuil, and Edelgard does sat in Three Houses dialogue that it was rumored a family in the Empire secretly held the Crest. Thus, Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes could see players learning more about Saint Macuil. Hopefully more information about the mysterious Monica and her true identity will be released in further trailers for Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes. As Three Hopes will release on June 24, there is still plenty of time for fans to learn more about what to expect from this brand-new story. Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes will release for the Nintendo Switch on June 24, 2022. MORE Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes - Edelgard's New Axe May Point to a New Character Arc

Recruiting different characters to join your army is a Fire Emblem series staple, but in Three Houses it works a little differently in light of the academy school-based setting, with you working to try to get characters to join your class. Once you've chosen one of the Three Houses, you'll have access to eight characters from that house, making for nine deploy-able units when you include the protagonist. You might like all of those units, or perhaps only like some of them - but the good news is that you can poach from other houses, with a few exceptions. The house leader and their immediate aide of each house can't be recruited for obvious reasons. The aide is the character you always see with them in story scenes, like Hilda for Claude. How Character Recruitment works in Fire Emblem Three Houses First of all, we recommend that you get to know the various students of the monastery after you've made your house choice. The best time to do this is as we suggest in our Fire Emblem Three Houses tips page - use your free time at the monastery to explore and chat to everyone. Doing so will give you an idea of their personalities and even their skill set, and that'll help you to decide who you might want to join your cause. Once you've got a target in mind, your ability to recruit them is defined by three points A specific one of the protagonist's skill levels A specific one of the protagonist's stats The support level between the protagonist and the recruitment target Exactly what is required will vary from character to character, though a C-rank or above seems to do the trick in most cases for both skills and support levels. You can raise skills through using skills in battle and through faculty training, while your support level is determined by your personal relationship with that character, as is Fire Emblem tradition. Support Rank can be raised by giving gifts, returning lost items, spending time with characters by eating with them and inviting them to tea or by fighting alongside them if you invite them to join your squad on a more temporary basis. Some of the items useful for this can be found around the monastery, purchased in shops or drop when you scan amiibo at the gazebo. As a warning, at a point a ways into Fire Emblem Three Houses the story takes a significant turn - and at this point your recruitment might stick or might be undone by the various story goings-on, but don't panic - eventually, recruited characters will find their way back to you one way or another. These events also open up some more recruitment options - and we're working to add these to this list over the coming days.
